Alta Vista Single Vineyard Albaneve Malbec 2017

Winery Altavista was founded in 1998 by the d'Aulan family. The De Oran family has a long tradition of winemaking, growing grapes and making different styles of wine all over the world.

From the motherland of France to Hungary and Argentina, from the old world to the new world, the wineries of the De Oran family are all over the world.

The main purpose of their original creation of the Altavista winery was to grow the best Malbec and Torrontes in Argentina in the Mendoza region, and to use these grapes to make delicious Argentine flavors wine.

Winery Altavista did not disappoint the De Oran family, producing wines that are not only elegant and sophisticated, but also complex on the palate, combining the maturity of French wines with the passion of Argentine wines.

The French-soul winery Alta Vista launched the first wine with the Campo de los Andes appellation on the label this December: Single Vineyard Albaneve Malbec 2017. Single Vineyard is the most authentic expression of Malbec. In 2001 Alta Vista was the first winery to produce and compare Single Vineyard wines, guided by its French heritage and the expertise of the technical team.

Single Vineyard Albaneve Malbec 2017 is made with 100% Malbec grapes of the highest quality from Albaneve Vineyard, at 1100 meters above sea level, in the Campo de los Andes area, Valle de Uco. After a few minutes in the glass, aromas of forest fruits, such as blueberries, and some notes of rather bittersweet tropical fruits that are reminiscent of guava sweet are clearly felt. On the palate it is powerful, broad and with refreshing acidity. It is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months and its aging potential is greater than 8 years.

The Albaneve vineyard was one of the first that the winery acquired, in 1997. More than twenty years later, and after extensive work of recognition and investigation of the terroir by the technical team, it was decided to launch the first Single Vineyard of this zone. It is not only a new Single Vineyard but the youngest of the line, and it also shows a new vision of style. Because it is a wide and fresh Malbec, concentrated in its expressions but not in its body.

With berry fruits and herbal hints, well surrounded by soft smoked notes from the aging process.

Its fine but lively tannins lift the finish of the mouth, and give it greater longevity in the bottle.
