DESCRIPTION OF THE WHITE WINE CUSTOZA SUPERIORE 'CA' DEL MAGRO 'MONTE DEL FRÀ 2020

Monte del Frà's Custoza Superiore "Ca 'del Magro" is a white wine with an extraordinary quality / price ratio. We are on the famous hill of Custoza, above Lake Garda and only 15 km from the center of Verona. Here, in 1958, the story of the Monte del Frà farm began; a story that has led the Bonomo family company to be one of the largest and most important companies in the Veneto region.

Production is at the forefront and quality is a distinctive synonym of the company's work; all activities are scrupulously controlled to ensure the perfect preservation of the primary characteristics of the grapes and thus obtain fine wines. The Custoza Superiore "Ca 'del Magro" was born in the vineyard of the same name of about 7 hectares and over 40 years old, located on the Custoza hill, at an altitude of 100-150 meters above sea level; a hill of morainic origin, with calcareous, clayey, gravelly and sandy soil. Custoza is born from the perfect balance of different vineyards, among which we find Garganega, Tuscan Trebbiano, Chardonnay, Cortese and Crossroads Manzoni.

After the harvest, which takes place between the first ten days of September and the first ten days of October, the must is aged on the lees in small oak barrels for about 4 months. A process refined over the years that infuses this wine with a fine workmanship: the nose opens with wildflowers and Golden apples, while on the palate the flavor is dry and savory, with a pleasant olfactory persistence. A white Custoza Superiore that the Bonomo family particularly recommends with glazed duck ... What can I say, a white wine of absolute quality and definitely worth trying.
