Le Petit Lion du Marquis de Las Cases' is the true 'second wine' of Chateau Leoville-Las Cases. 'Clos du Marquis' is technically a second vineyard rather than a 'second wine'.

Expert tasting note: "Medium to deep, dark ruby-red with a purple rim. Initially, the nose shows vivid damson aromas, these are followed by toasty oak notes before the fruit opens to show fresh cassis & black-cherry fruit. The palate displays powerful dark fruit. Acidity is fresh & perfectly balances the rounded, ripe, structured fruit. Alcohol is in balance & a mouth-watering finish lasts pretty well
