A Grand Vin in White from Château Talbot in Saint-Julien
A magnificent wine from the prestigious Saint-Julien property, the « Connétable de Talbot » of the 4th Classified Growth Château Talbot, pays homage to Constable Talbot, an English soldier and governor of Guyenne.
Recognised as "one of the very best second wines of the Médoc", the Connétable de Tablot of Château Talbot was created in the 1960's.
Just like its predecessor, the Connétable de Talbot is made with the utmost respect for fruit and terroir. This wine is produced with fruit from a selection of vines, aged 30 years on average, planted in Medoc gravel soil on the Left Bank of Bordeaux.
The Connétable de Talbot 2018 is made from a blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon and 57% Merlot. The wine is aged for 16 months in barrel, of which 20% is new. The Connétable of Talbot 2018 is produced in the style that has become associated with Château Talbot: an elegant and classic Saint-Julien.
