The 2019 Connétable de Talbot is the second label from the famed 4th Growth estate in Saint-Julien. Composed of around 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, aged 12 months in French oak. Deep ruby colour with blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, cedar and vanilla notes. Smooth and rounded palate with fine tannins, balanced acidity and lingering fruit finish. Serve at 16-18 °C; great with roast beef, lamb racks or aged cheese, drink now or cellar 8-10 years.
