Description

The 2011 Château La Tour Carnet is a blend of 57 % Merlot, 39 % Cabernet Sauvignon, with touches of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged in about 30 % new oak barrels.

The wine displays a deep ruby hue, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, forest underbrush, and smoked juniper, layered with mineral and spice notes. On the palate it is concentrated and multi-dimensional, with firm yet polished tannins, balanced acidity, and a long finish. The wine offers excellent aging potential—decanting recommended prior to serving.
