Introduction: Chateau Lascombes is located in the wine-producing village of Margaux in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France, only a few hundred meters away from the famous Chateau Margaux. In the 1855 classification, Chateau Lascombes was listed as a second growth for its high-quality wines. The history of Chateau Lascombes can be traced back to the 17th century, when it belonged to the Durfort de Duras (Dufour Duras) family. It was not an independent winery, but only part of the many estates of Durfort de Duras. Later, Chevalier Antoine de Lascombes, a member of the Lascombes family, took over the winery and turned it into an independent winery, and officially named it "Chateau Lascombes", a name that has been in use ever since. Currently, Chateau Lascombes is one of the 1855 Grand Crus with the largest vineyard area. Its vineyards in the Margaux region cover an area of 120 hectares. In addition, the winery also owns 10 acres in the Haut-Medoc (Upper Medoc) hectares of vineyards. Elegant yet powerful, the wines of Chateau Lascombes are rich in tannins and fine and mellow in the mouth. With age, their aromas will become more complex and charming, and their structure will become more delicate, fully reflecting the excellent terroir of the Margaux appellation.

Viticulture: 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot

Tasting notes: perfect balance of alcohol, acidity and concentration

On the palate it is oily and velvety, with fine tannins enveloping the body.

It is surprising how well the woody aromas of this vintage blend with the black fruit aromas of the wine, given that 80% of the barrels are new.

Long aftertaste, suitable for aging.

Blended with 48% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep purple wine of great ripeness, great character, full-bodied, dense and juicy. This year's Lascombes has a higher proportion of Merlot, which makes the wine more full-bodied and textured. Rich, pure and full.
