Description

The 2021 Volnay Vieilles Vignes Rouge by Arnaud Baillot is made from Pinot Noir vines averaging over 50 years of age in Volnay, Côte de Beaune. Hand-harvested grapes undergo natural fermentation and age 14 months in French oak (around 20% new). Deep crimson colour with aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, clove and minerality. Silky texture with lively acidity and fine tannins, balanced and long on the finish. Serve 14–16 °C; excellent with duck, beef filet, mushroom pasta or aged cheese.
